We are no shadow - a poem

Silence stitched into the seams of our dresses

We grinded through the troubles, the reaped their successes

Taught to stitch up our wounds my swallow our screams

You are too much, they said when we talked about our dreams.

But now we rise - our rage release

For we are no debris, no shadow, no disease.
